Child Protection
Due to the many hours of care we are providing for a child, it is possible that the staff of 1st Class Pre-School may be the primary people to become aware of a problem, even before the parent/carer. Should any member of staff have concerns for the welfare of any child, they will immediately take the matter up with the senior member of staff.
Parents should be aware that 1st Class Pre-School will take any reasonable action to ensure the safety of the children. In cases where the Nursery has reason to be concerned that a child may be subject to ill treatment, neglect or other forms of abuse the staff have no alternative but to follow Local Authority Child Protection Procedures and inform the Isle of Man Child Protection Committee.
